Subject: What Causes Spinal Misalignments in Kids

From Name: [[fromName]]

Hi [[leadFirstName]],

As adults, we often think of a spinal misalignment as the result of a major trauma. Car crashes, sports injuries, or a sever fall can create ongoing pain, but spinal misalignment in children happens for a variety of reasons.

[[content_img_url]]

Infancy: Birth. The labor and delivery process is extremely traumatic on an infant’s body. The process can cause spinal misalignment, immediately affecting the newborn’s nervous system, sleeping patterns, and motor function development.

Toddlers: Stumbles and falls. As toddlers attempt to gain stability and pick up speed, stumbles are a part of life. Those falls, however, can have lasting impacts. As toddlers explore their world by running, jumping, and flipping, chiropractic care will provide proper spinal alignment.

Elementary Childhood: Heavy backpacks. As we load schoolbooks, lunch, and sporting equipment into a child’s book-bag, that weight can cause the child to shift their posture to withstand the added weight.

Adolescence: Sports. Kids venture into team sports and can take a few hard hits, creating undetected injuries.

Teens: Vehicle accidents and poor posture. A dependency on electronics can cause poor posture, stressing the spine into an unnatural position. Teens (16-17) are also the leading age group for motor vehicle crashes, according to AAA, creating trauma to the spine.

Spinal misalignment in children happens frequently and treating the problem with professional chiropractic care strongly supports proper spinal development.
