Subject: How long does it take to heal after an adjustment?

From Name: [[fromName]]

Hi [[leadFirstName]],

A lot of patients feel better immediately after receiving a single chiropractic adjustment, and major symptoms that have been bothering them may start to reduce after a few adjustments.

That’s the power of relieving pressure on the nervous system. But it’s not an instantaneous fix. Underlying problems take longer to address.

The body needs time to heal itself, and we need to be persistent about making sure the atlas is clear and that pressure on the nervous system is not present.

The longer the body can stay free of interference, the greater opportunity it has to heal—to bounce back from dis-ease, recover, regain that natural state of ease, and restore health.

We call this process “retracing.”

“Every case [of dis-ease] retraces, for if there is a departure from health, there must be a return to it, if there is restoration. When a case retraces, it passes back through the successive steps, in reverse order, that it passed through in getting worse.”[44] —R.W. Stephenson

Retracing is the reason it takes time for sick people to get well.

It’s the reason your body doesn’t automatically, magically return to 100 percent ease after a single chiropractic adjustment. And it’s the reason most chiropractors suggest that their patients return for follow-up appointments.
