Hi [[leadFirstName]],
Have you ever wondered why there are obese people who manage to live to ripe old ages, while there are also vegetarian marathon runners who drop dead of heart attacks long before their time? Why do these things happen? Luck of the draw? Not quite.

The reason is this: You can do absolutely everything right for your entire life as far as diet and exercise are concerned, but a subluxation can still kill you. Originally, the word “disease” meant simply a state when the body is not at ease (ease, plus the prefix dis, meaning the absence of ease).
Over the course of centuries of medical science, “disease” became a term to describe specific sicknesses, infections, and the like. In our modern interpretation of disease and health care, we tend to forget there’s even such a thing as “ease.”
In chiropractic, we say that when the body is not at ease, it is at “dis-ease.
Basically, by the contemporary definition, a disease is something you can catch or acquire somehow; it is something getting in that shouldn’t be there.
Dis-ease, on the other hand, according to the definition of the principled chiropractor, is a manifestation of an underlying problem. It is something that should be there that is not being expressed correctly because of an interference.
